A few weeks ago, I got a message from a long-time fan asking me to recreate his early 2000s bedroom.

He described a warm afternoon from that era: sunlight cutting through the blinds, the soft hum of a CRT monitor, and his favorite games scattered all around.

This piece is a tribute to a beautiful time, when the internet was just starting to spread across the world, online gaming was becoming a thing, illegal downloads were the norm, and emulators opened doors to entire libraries of classics. 😄
